0.5.5.1 service

I've not run dimes as a service until quite recently so I don't know if this is specific to other versions or not. What I'm seeing is that the service stops running after a seemingly random period and has to be restarted manually. What leads me to suspect that this is a 0.5.5.1 problem is that the graphical version also stops running now and again. There's no message or crash but the icon vanishes from the taskbar and has to be restarted. I'd be interested to see if anyone else is getting this. I suspect they are because individual stats are all over the place.

I've now investigated this more thoroughly and think there's a bug either in Java or 0.5.5.1. I've discovered that if a machine loses contact with the internet then Dimes shuts down. Last night I had a 5 minute loss of signal and 11 out of 12 machines were no longer running Dimes when I checked this morning.
