February 20th, 2006:

Quietly, quietly we have managed to pass the 1 Billion measurements marker!! Thanks for all the volunteers who made it possible

January 3rd. 2006:

We have just released a new DIMES version - 0.4.3. It introduces a new web based Control Center and solves some known bugs. you can check it out in our download page.

September 20th:

We have just released new Linux and Mac versions, as well as an update for the Windows version. The new versions (0.4.2) include many bug fixes, as well as some new features. You can find them in our download page.

August 3rd:

we would like to introduce the new DIMES t-shirts. You can see us model them in the about page. We will be giving away these shirts during our coming trip to the US. We are also working on a way by which we'll be able to send these shirts to our users, while conforming to the university's guidelines :).

 

July 10th:

The DIMES Internet Mapper, a tool for geographically visualizing the Internet topology, has just been released. Using DIM you can browse the connections between the cities of the world, as measured by DIMES. Many thanks to Google for their maps API.

June 16th:

Quietly quietly, we passed today the 100 Million measurements!!! Big big thank you to all of the members of the DIMES community

May 14th:

We have just released version 0.4 of the DIMES agent. You can download it from the link on the right and have a look. It has an abundancy of new features which you can learn more about in our installation page.

March 31th:

This time, news not from our site. The good guys of Free-DC have created a great statistics page for DIMES . The page uses the DIMES statistics XML feed.

March 28th:

We've added agent distribution maps to the community page. See if you can find yourself.

Jan 23rd:

At last, DIMES teams can be created and joined. To create a new team or join an existing one, please login in our new login page. The data page now presents team statistics as well.

Jan 6th:

The data and statistics page was updated to present top contributing agents in the last week. Check it out.

Sep. 12th:

The website is back where it belongs, after all communication issues were resolved (hopefully). Also, DIMES is now installed in all continents. Thanks everyone (especially the guy in Namibia who gave us presence in Africa). 

Sep. 7th:

Due to the unforeseen success of DIMES, we faced some communication problems in recent days that may have caused problems in accessing the website, registering new agents or slowing down network mapping by agents. It seems that we managed to solve the problems. We'd like to thank all our beta testers for helping us to clean our system out of bugs.

Sep. 1th:

The DIMES agent v.0.3 was released. All are welcome to download and try it out.

18th Aug:
