Problem with Norton Internet Security

Postby NazDak » Thu Nov 25, 2004 11:44 am

Hi, I just downloaded DIMES .03 and am having some trouble. I use Norton Internet SEcurity, and every time DIMES tries to do anything, Norton asks me if I want to let DIMES pink or traceroute or whatever. I try and click "always use this action", but since the IP addresses are always different, it asks me each time.

Any suggestions on how to calm Norton down and let DIMES work without bombarding me with dialog boxes?

I don't know norton but is there a possibility, like for sygate firewall, to creat special rules to allow specifically one soft (dimes or java) to acces to your net interface always to any ip adress ? It's possible to do this on sygate and I think that a firewall without the abality to create such rules is to avoid. So Norton should be able to do this.
